## Option C: Port your number

Want LumisReach to fully own your existing number? You can port it over.

### How porting works

1. Submit a port request with your current carrier info
2. We handle the transfer (usually 1-2 weeks)
3. Your number now lives on LumisReach
4. All calls come directly to AI

### When to port

Port if you want to:

* Eliminate your current phone bill
* Have full control in LumisReach
* Stop managing forwarding

### When not to port

Keep forwarding if you:

* Want to keep your current carrier
* Need to receive calls on a physical phone sometimes
* Are still testing LumisReach

## Multiple phone numbers

Some businesses need multiple numbers:

| Use case                  | Setup                                                                           |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Different departments** | Sales line → AI qualifies leads<br />Support line → AI handles common questions |
| **Different locations** | Each location has its own local number |
| **Marketing campaigns** | Track which ads drive calls |
| **Languages**             | Spanish line → Spanish-speaking AI                                              |
| **Outbound capacity** | More numbers = more calls per day |

Add as many numbers as you need. Each can have different AI configurations.

## Outbound call capacity

If you're running outbound campaigns, two things control your throughput: the number of phone numbers you own (each one is capped at 75 outbound calls per day to protect carrier reputation) and the number of dedicated concurrent lines you have (each runs one call at a time at \$25/mo). Local area codes get materially higher answer rates than toll-free numbers, so most outbound campaigns are best run from a pool of local numbers.

</Card>

## Branded caller ID

Without registration, outbound calls show as a 10-digit number, or worse, get labeled "Spam Likely". With Branded Calling, the receiving phone shows your business name. Answer rates rise materially as a result.

| Before registration               | After registration |
| --------------------------------- | ------------------ |
| `(555) 123-4567` or `Spam Likely` | `Smith HVAC`       |

### What it does

* **Displays your business name** on the receiving handset across the major US carriers.
* **Improves answer rates.** Most operators see a meaningful lift once registration is live.
* **Reduces spam flagging** by giving carriers a verified identity to associate with your numbers.
* **Includes STIR/SHAKEN attestation** so your calls are cryptographically signed as legitimate.

### Registration process

<Steps>
  <Step title="Provide business info">
    Legal business name, address, EIN or Tax ID.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify identity">
    Confirm you're authorized to represent the business.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit to carriers">
    LumisReach submits to AT\&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and most regional carriers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approval">
    Usually 5 to 10 business days.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activation">
    Your name starts displaying on outbound calls automatically.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### What displays

| Option                | Example             |
| --------------------- | ------------------- |
| Business name         | "Smith HVAC"        |
| Business + location   | "Smith HVAC Dallas" |
| Business + department | "Smith HVAC Sales"  |

Keep it short. 15 characters or fewer renders best.

### Pricing

| Plan      | Brand registration    |
| --------- | --------------------- |
| Intake    | \$10/month per number |
| Outreach  | Included              |
| Concierge | Included              |
| Lead Gen  | Included              |

### Maintaining reputation

Once registered, the reputation of your numbers is something you have to protect. Call during reasonable hours, honor opt-outs immediately, keep the message relevant, and identify yourself clearly. Spam reports and block rates show up in your dashboard so you can react before reputation deteriorates.

### Troubleshooting

## Voicemail

If you enable voicemail fallback for outbound:

* Inbound calls always reach AI directly (no voicemail).
* If the AI can't complete an outbound call, it can leave a voicemail per your script.

***

## Testing your number

After setup, test it:

<Checklist>
  * Call your LumisReach number from your cell phone
  * Verify AI answers with your business info
  * Try booking an appointment
  * Check that notifications come through
  * Review the transcript in your dashboard
</Checklist>
