# Edit Video

> Upload your raw recordings and get back a tight, captioned cut with B-roll and music. Then fine-tune any finished video without paying for a new render.

**Edit Video** cuts your own footage. Upload the takes you recorded on your phone or camera, say how you want it edited, and LumisReach finds the best moments, drops the stumbles and dead air, adds captions, B-roll and music, and hands back a video ready to post. Nothing in your main picture is AI-generated.

## Edit your recordings

  <Step title="Source assets">
    Upload up to 20 recordings and up to 10 B-roll clips, 500MB each. Optionally add images, documents and a description. In **How should it be edited?**, say what you want in plain words, for example "keep it under 45 seconds, no captions, end on a card saying Book today".

  <Step title="Edit preferences">
    Choose captions, B-roll, face zoom, an end card and an end logo scene. Turn on **Keep all of my footage** to have it only reorder your clips, never cut them. The length follows your footage, so there is no length setting.

  <Step title="Review cuts">
    Watch a live preview of the planned edit. Drag the handles on the timeline to trim, reorder or drop a cut, or click **Add a cut** to bring a moment back. Not quite right? **Cut it again** re-plans the edit with one more instruction. When you are happy, click **Approve and make video**.

    Pick background music and write the post caption and hashtags.

  **Automatically Edit** runs the whole thing hands-off: it plans the cut, approves it, and makes the video.

## Editing a finished video

Any finished video, made with any template or imported, can be adjusted after it renders. These changes reuse the render, so they are **free**:

| Change | Where | How |
| - | - | - |
| **Swap B-roll** | Generated video step, B-roll cutaways panel | Swap a clip for another, search stock footage for a better one, or take a cutaway out. Click apply and B-roll, captions and music are redone on the same render. |
| **Fix captions** | Music and caption step | Click any word to fix its spelling, or clear it to take it off the screen. Then **Update captions**. |
| **Change music** | Music and caption step | Pick a different track or change the level. No re-render. |
| **Burn in captions** | Music and caption step (imported videos) | Add captions to a video you imported. |

Hand-picked paid stock clips are the one exception: they are charged when you use them.

If a render fails, **Retry** resumes it at no charge.
