# Send a quick chat message

> Posts one plain-text message (up to 2000 characters) to a Slack or Discord channel connected to the workspace (see `GET /v1/quick/chat-channels`). Mentions such as @channel, @here, @everyone and user or role pings are neutralized. 404 when the channel id is not connected to the workspace; 409 when the webhook was revoked or the chat app rejected the message (reconnect it in Connections), or past 1000 messages per workspace per rolling 24 hours. Free.
